Ruth Pelzer-Montada, PhD, is an artist and lecturer in Contemporary Art and Visual Culture at Edinburgh College of Art, The University of Edinburgh. She has curated and participated in exhibitions in Scotland and abroad. Her texts on printmaking and contemporary art have appeared in national and international publications, such as Art Journal, Print Quarterly, Art in Print, conference proceedings and exhibition catalogues. Her anthology Perspectives on contemporary printmaking (2018) is published by Manchester University Press. Ruth is on the board of the International Mokuhanga Association: http://mokuhanga.org/ and a peer reviewer for IMPACT Printmaking Journal. Between Seeing and Reading: what relevance theory can reveal us about artists’ books?

EGIDIJA ČIRICAITĖ publishes books, exhibitions, and book related projects. Although firmly based within contemporary artists’ books practice, her varied interests can be loosely divided between book history and contemporary metaphor theories (in linguistics). Her work is held in a number of collections, including Centre international de poesie (Marseille, France), Museum of Fine Art (Boston, USA), Tate Special Collection (London, UK) and The Art Institute of Chicago. Egidija is part of the British Library’s artists’ books initiative, organising Artists Books Now events. She is research assistant at Artists’ Books and Medical Humanities project, University of Kent. Egidija is currently working on PhD at the Slade School of Fine Art and Linguistics and Psychology at UCL.
