The exhibition entitled ‘The Exercises from the body’ is a story about a body and a graphic matrix. About the body, which is for me a source of endless inspiration and nomadic sensuality. A sensuality which changes with passing time and with experiences in artistic work. At a work, in which eyesight observes reality, so that a hand tool—can draw or cut it at the interface of plastic matter with body matter. It turns out then that the creative process brings about individual and intimate experiences. This artistic process resembles a kind of meditation and working with yourself. Work, during which I examine the ever-changing body that interests me, which becomes not only my creative tool, but also an inspiration to create.
The exhibition entitled ‘The Exercises from the body’ is also a story about a graphic body, which is a matrix – the most important component of the graphic process. On the exhibition is the story of my private communing with the matrix. This is the story about the meaning of the graphic matrix, which in one moment is a matter from which the print is derived in the printmaking process, but on the other hand, it is a private, sensual carrier of the printmaker’s trial.
