A 3D mobile, which consists of prints on paper and plexiglass. The works will be suspended from the ceiling to create an imaginary room for the viewer to step into.
Size 3 meters high – approximately 3 m x 4 m.
The lighting is important; therefore, it would be preferable with a room that is dark without windows.
The group consists of eight participants, all printmaking artists from Funen Printmaking Studio.
In our collaboration, we cross boundaries, since we add, change, step over and influence each other’s works. We work from different backgrounds and with different techniques.
The final work will consist of fragments that will be experienced as a united art piece, but can also be experienced in the small details. Where the light will cast shadows and the plexiglass will create layers with the paper and the prints on the paper. Each viewer will have her/his own experience – with cultural and personal boundaries in play.
The viewer will be an active part of the work, which has the sensation of a mobile that will create a vibrating room for the viewer to step into. The work encourages the viewer to cross the invisible border to the artwork to participate in the artwork. Since the movement of the viewer will affect how the different parts of the mobile move slowly, rotate in the air and balance.
