Proposal Abstract
My work is my life and my memories are my work. Artist’s book—it’s the container which conserves inside a time and a memory. My purpose is to register these moments and senses.
This project consists of the installation of a different format of artists book: in many textile print objects in one space. The topic is ‘Existence/Survival/Habitat’. The work contains 500 objects like clouds and stones, printed on linen with short poems like the haiku.
This interactive installation was planned so that the public would be able to touch, read and sense the poems, but it was impossible in the Pandemic time. Now the public is observing in the distance one big cloud composed of 250 clouds-poems, from which a rain of words and haikus printed on the satin and organza ribbons fall to meet with 250 poetries rocks.
Mini poems like a haiku in calligraphic texts about solitude, life, nature, rain, epidemy time, moments of life, garden, light invite the public to think about our life and the habitat space.
The dimension of this piece can be variable. For now, it is 4 x 3 x 6 m. Contents are 500 pieces of 3D fabric objects. Mediums and techniques: linoleum engravings print on linen for both sides. And rubber stamps texts on the 1,000 satin and organza ribbons.
Traditional print resources were implemented in contemporary readings in space for interacting with the public and raising awareness about our environment and habitat.
The piece will be presented for IMPACT in photographs and a short video.
