Martyna Rzepecka – visual artist, she was born in 1989 in Poznan, Poland. In 2017 she got PhD art diploma on the Faculty of Fine Arts, at the The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland. She is graduade of Printmaking and Art Eduaction of home university. In 2011-2012 she was studing on the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (ALUO), at the University of Ljubljana (Univerza v Ljubljani).
Martyna Rzepecka is devoted in linocut processing. Now she merges her fascination in traditional printmaking with new media, like: interactive installation, an object, a video installation. For her is important relation between the artist and the viewer – a border in reception of knowing the artwork. She tries make a space of receipt her art, where important are senses and carnality. She is fascinated in human sexuality and sensual understanding of reality. She explore this themes in her art, where important for her is matrix context (graphic matrix) – as matter.
Martyna Rzepecka participated in about 60. international and national exhibitions. F. ex. The 6th Indonesia International Print Triennial – Bentara Budaya Jakarta (2019), Hit Festival – Haugesund International Festival of Artistic Relief Printing, Haugesund Art Gallery, Norway (2019), Tokyo International Mini-Print, Japan (2018), Post-digital graphics. Redefinition of a graphic print, Neon Wroclaw Gallery – Wroclaw, Poland (217), The Masters -Relief Prints, Bankside Gallery – London, England (2015), 5th Guanlan International Print Biennal – China (2015), Grand Prix of Young Polish Graphic Art during the International Print Triennial – Krakow, Poland (2012).
Nowadays she is an assistant in Drawing Department at The the Faculty of Fine Arts at The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Polandand the lecturer on the graphic specialization at The Faculty of Information Technology and Visual Communication, in Collegium Da Vinci in Poznan, Poland.
