Glynis Lee’s artistic research investigates cultural and environmental connections in the search for a sense of place in-between cultures. Through printmaking, plant dyes and various media, Lee’s studio process combines multiple techniques and layering with a passion for expressing print in 3-dimensional or alternative forms.
Lee was born in Australia of Chinese ancestry. Her qualifications include teaching and visual arts. Lee spent eight years as a printmaker at Darwin’s Northern Editions printmaking studio, simultaneously completing her practice-based visual arts PhD. She is currently employed as a higher education tutor at Charles Darwin University, Darwin, Australia.
