Pernille Andersen is a Danish printmaker, born 1962 and currently living in Odder, Denmark.
She works with contemporary printmaking and graduated in 1995 from The Academy of Fine Arts in Aarhus, where she is now a teacher in printmaking. She also received a MA in Aesthetics & Culture in 2003 from the University of Aarhus. She has participated in group shows, triennials etc. in Denmark and Europe and solo shows in Denmark.
Her favorite printing technique is photopolymer gravures mostly based on her own photographs. Her print works often consist of several plates, each printed in different colours and composed into big photomontages. She also works with artist’s books and zines and is in general interested in the culture of everyday life, including aspects like the significance of the body and questions of gender and identity.
