Oremus has worked as an artist/ educator in 16 countries. She received her BFA at Concordia University (Canada), studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (Italy), and has an MFA from the Tyler School of Art (USA). Oremus worked fifteen years as a Professor/ Assistant Dean at Zayed University (UAE), where she established the first printmaking studio in the nation’s capital. Oremus is currently the Chair of the Department of Fine Arts at Winthrop University (USA). Recent exhibitions include Latteria Moderna (Venice, Italy), Museum Seljackih Buna (Croatia), Xi’an Art Museum (China), Kyoto Art Museum (Japan). Oremus is the recipient of the 2017 Guanlan Print Prize in Shenzhen, China.
